With the election day and absentee ballots counted, Debra Hibbler has a 301 vote lead over incumbent Johnny Gary Jr. in the Leflore County Chancery Clerk special election held today.

An unknown number of affidavit ballots have yet to be counted starting tomorrow.

Gary received 1805 votes, including 118 absentee votes.

Hibbler received 2106 votes, including 63 absentee votes.

The District 4 Supervisor race is much closer.

Incumbent Eric Mitchell received 567 votes, including 52 absentee votes.

Challenger Wayne Self received 534 votes, including 31 absentee votes.

These are complete but unofficial totals excluding affidavit ballots.
