The new Veterans Memorial Park and monument were dedicated in a Memorial Day Remembrance. Speeches were given by Mayor Harry Smith, Supervisors Alix Sanders and Phil Wolfe, and Colonel D. I. Smith. Music was provided by The Proclamations. Jim Chick was the master of ceremonies.
