The board held a public hearing on a rezoning request.

The board received a budget report from NCPDD's Tony Green, and an update on the elevator project from NCPDD's John Wiggers. The county is way over-budget, and account balances more than a million dollars below what they were at the end of February 2022. The various county elevators are not ADA compliant.

County Court Judge James Littleton requested reimbursement for attendance to an annual conference.

Payroll checks and check stubs were discussed.

A snag has developed related to the new economic development project represented by Floyd Melton III. An escrow agreement for the county-contributed money involved needs to be signed, but since ARPA money is involved, the attorneys at Butler-Snow must sign off on the expenditure first.

Some of the tornado warning sirens did not work during the recent storms, and maintenance problems with them was discussed.

The sheriff requested hiring several employees, and salary adjustments for others.

The county engineer presented additional engineering estimates on numerous roads in the county.

Larry "Kite" Johnson gave an update on the HVAC project at the Greenwood Recreation Center that the county is paying for.

The board went into executive session to discuss the Pafford ambulence agreement to provide the county with emergency medical services, and possible litigation.

After coming out of executive session, board president Reginald Moore announced that the board had discussed contractual issues with the hospital and regarding ambulance service, but no action was taken.

The board then voted to instruct the board attorney to review the consulting agreement and provide any necessary changes for the next board meeting, but did not clarify which consulting agreement was being discussed.
