Bond set at $1.2 million in Vaiden fratricide and arson

Tuesday, July 12, 2022, 2:54 pm News Flash Archive

Today, Carroll County Justice Court Judge Tinesha Erve-Earnest conducted an initial hearing for Thomas Perry III. Bond was set at $1.2 million.

Perry was charged yesterday with the first degree murder of his 6 year old brother, Orlando "King" Pittman. The murder took place last Saturday afternoon. Perry was also charged with arson and felony animal cruelty, for setting fire to his family's apartment and killing his family's dog with a knife.

Attorney Rusty Harlow was appointed to represent Perry as Public Defender.

It turns out that Perry was already out on bond for a June 2022 arrest for misdemeanor domestic violence. Judge Earnest revoked that bond as well.

Perry is being held at the Carroll Montgomery Regional Correctional Facility.
