Greenwood City Council

The Greenwood City Council is the legislative body that governs the city of Greenwood. The executive power is held by a Mayor who is elected by the people every four years, along with the seven council members. The City Council generally meets twice each month at the City Hall.

Marilyn Sims presented her plan for a meeting with the Board of Supervisors and City Council at the Civic Center to discuss the crime problem in our community.

Brandice Brown Williams appeared to present her Winter Wonderland Light Show.

The monthly hearing on dilapidated properties was conducted.

The council approved a resolution waiving the sewage and garbage charges for the Greenwood Leflore Hospital through March 2023.
