Leflore County Board of Supervisors

The Board of Supervisors is the governing body of Leflore County. It consists of five members elected by the people every four years. The Board generally meets three times each month at the Court House.

The board took a number of actions to handle the entrance of the new Chancery Clerk Debra Hibbler, like changing check signatures, etc.

The sheriff asked for a number of salary adjustments for his deputies to make the pay more competative and retain personnel.

An annual report about the Leflore County Extension Service was received.

A biweekly payroll for county employees was again discussed.

The subject of the cleaning of county lakes was taken up.

The Road Manager brought forward a discussion of poor drainage on Threadgill Street.

The board went into executive session. It discussed the county administrator search and applications received so far. It also discussed the sheriff department missing inventory. No action was taken on either matter.
